We’ve finally completed the "Design Code" documenting one year of Bridge Studio's journey!
After nearly a year of preparation—photography, design, folding, hand-cutting, screen printing—this hand-crafted publication is complete. With only 15 copies in existence, we’d love for them to find homes in public spaces, galleries, or with those who feel a special connection to this kind of work.
Design Code:
Inspired by Manazuru’s “aesthetic standards,” the Design Code reflects a set of spatial and emotional criteria based on what we find beautiful and essential in a space. It’s a guiding “axis” developed through words and images—things like “a view of nature from every room,” “handmade over mass-produced,” “space for solitude,” or “50% completion—leave room for updates.” Design Code Set includes photographs by Hanako Nakane, and physical fragments from the building (e.g., hardware, found materials)
